Biography
Jordan Ventura Inacio is a faculty member in the Mechanical Engineering department at Lehigh University, where he has been teaching since Fall 2024. His teaching portfolio spans introductory engineering practice, engineering mechanics, graphics for engineering design, and manufacturing, reflecting a broad commitment to foundational mechanical engineering education. His work bridges hands-on design, computational methods, and biomechanical research, with a particular focus on orthopaedic applications including fracture mechanics and patient-specific modeling.
Ventura Inacio has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in leading journals, including the *Journal of Orthopaedic Research* and the *Journal of Biomechanical Engineering*, with research centered on distal femur fractures, bone quality characterization, and biomechanical testing methodology. His paper on boundary conditions in plated distal femur osteotomies received the 2021 Editor's Choice Award from the ASME Journal of Biomechanical Engineering, and he was also recognized with the 2021 Teaching Assistant of the Year Award. More recently, he has received institutional funding to enhance undergraduate laboratory resources and develop innovative teaching tools, including a reverse engineering module and a 3D spatial model teaching aid.
