Biography

Mayuresh V. Kothare is the R. L. McCann Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Lehigh University, where he has been a faculty member since 1998. Since 2024, he has also served as Associate Dean for Research in the P. C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science. His research spans robust model predictive control, microchemical systems, and biomedical applications, with additional affiliations in Lehigh's Departments of Bioengineering and Electrical Engineering.

Kothare's work has had meaningful real-world impact, including the development of medical oxygen concentrator technology that led to the founding of two spin-off companies—Pharmateck LLC and Omnilife Systems Private Ltd.—aimed at delivering personalized oxygen therapy to underserved and remote populations. His scholarly contributions are widely recognized, with an h-index of 40 and more than 11,600 citations to his credit, reflecting the sustained influence of his research across control systems engineering and beyond.
